Visiting the sick & elderly in Cotta
As part of its commitment to improve the quality of life of those living in the villages of Chandor, Cavorim and Guirdolim; Ganv Bhavancho Ekvott members visited the sick and elderly people living in Cotta portion of the Chandor-Cavorim Village.
The project managers for this visit were Antonio Colaco and Fiel Babazinho Dias who is also a member of the Chandor-Cavorim Village Panchayat.

In all 13 GBE members visited the houses where these sick and elderly people live in Cotta. They were General Secretary Francis Coutinho, Vice Presidents Irene Antao and Maria Mascarenhas, Managing Committee member Ezly Henriques along with John Douglas Coutinho, Jaret de Silva, Alzira Pereira, Anthony Colaco, Fiel Babazin Dias, Michael da Costa, Valetta da Costa, Michael Pereira and Menino alias Minush Gomes.

The members not only felt happy visiting the sick after a long break necessitated by the pandemic but were also deeply touched with the blessings they received from the elderly people. They also appreciated the tenacity and patience of the people who are taking care of these elderly people in their houses so that the sunset period of their lives is spent with those they nurtured earlier.
The GBE members visited 11 senior citizens of whom four were in their 80s, three in their 70s two in their sixties and one was above 90 years in age.
Those visited were: 93 year old Tereza Teles, 85 year old Olivia Fernandes, 84 year old Damaciano Mascarenhas, 83 year old Roque Antonio Pereira, 82 year old Concecala D’Souza, 77 year old Mario Fernandes, 73 year old Jose Antonio Faleiro, 70 year old Domingos Piedade Fernandes, 68 year old Cruzinha Fernandes, Epiphiano Fernandes and Chico Fernandes.
