Protecting Our Land Donnemoll

Under the now scrapped Goa Regional Plan 2011, the hill at Mullem which is on the border of Cavorim was cut to construct a road. Even as the case is pending in the court against this illegality, the owner of that land constructed two huge tanks on the top of the hill at the edge. There was a fear that these tanks could lead to destabilization of the hill due to the accumulated water and its percolation which could cause landslides. Ganv Bhavancho Ekvott took up the matter with the authorities and finally the two tanks were buried before the onset of the 2008 monsoons
