BEAUTIFYING TRAFFIC ISLANDS

While the country paid respect to the father of the nation Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on October 2 this year, Ganv Bhavancho Ekvott too undertook a special programme to mark the occasion.

GBE members planted bougainvillea saplings in the three triangular traffic islands existing in front of the Chandor church. In all 17 saplings were planted by 15 members who had gathered at the spot.

GBE has undertaken the task of not only providing manure to the saplings but also to trim them regularly so that they do not become a hindrance for traffic. Menino alias Minush Gomes has volunteered to water the plants to keep them healthy.
