Congratulations to Anthony Pereira who co-ordinated the entertainment.

Youngsters from the village who had participated in the recently held Voice of Goa contest came to entertain the senior citizens. Kudos to Jelvy Furtado, Drashel Athaide, Amanda Pereira, Angelica Pereira, Hayleen Pereira, Faye Andrade, Henely Andrade, Venom Andrade, Mikaiela Andrade and Chiquita Colaco who sang their hearts out.
Some of the participants also sang very interesting songs. Doming and Jose Salvador from Guirdolim along with Ana Joaquina who are regular singers at the party did not disappoint this year as they were on stage. Damiana who sang for the first time this year, belted out a delightful song on yesteryear tiatrists’ peccadillo, which was enjoyed by all.
The Fun Club led by Rajama Gomes presented a skit which was very much liked by all as it was based on the hypocritical behavior.
Acting President Darwin Cardoso welcomed the crowd initially and then it was continuous entertainment for those gathered who were served with snacks and soup.
Christmas Father was in his elements dancing away to glory, wishing all present and giving them chocolates, which incidentally were sponsored by Emperor’s a chocolate manufacturing company from Goa.
All the senior citizens were presented a shawl by Ganv Bhavancho Ekvott to help them withstand the chill that normally descends during this season. There were various spot prizes also given out and the party ended with a sumptuous lunch to those gathered followed by savory desert.
The entire expenditure for the programme including the gifts, the snacks, food, prizes was met with contribution from members who donated generously ranging from Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 500/- depending on their capabilities, which is really appreciable as this is their gift to the senior citizens of the village.
guirdolim-chaplain-frChaplain of St. Francis Xavier Chapel, Guirdolim had a word of praise for Ganv Bhavancho Ekvott as this is the only programme held in the village for the senior citizens.
Members worked hard to make the party a grand success. They contacted the senior citizens in their vicinity to attend the party, arranged for them to be brought and taken back home and also slogged it out at the venue to ensure that all was well. Acting President Darwin Cardozo supervised the execution of this programme extremely well while John Douglas Coutinho brought in the donations from the members. Anand Shirodkar was the project manager.
Ganv Bhavancho Ekvott is grateful to Chandor Club for giving their premises free to organize this programme.
