Chandor School Excels At board exams
St. Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor achieved 94.19% at the Secondary School Certificate Examinations 2024 conducted by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Of the 80 students who answered the examinations, 13 secured distinctions while 33 bagged first class. 31 students passed with second class and four got through with pass class.
Trisha Hosmani ranked first with 538 marks that translates to 89.66%. She is the daughter of Prashant a civil contractor and Sandhya who is a home maker. Hailing from Karnataka they live at Fatramoll. Trisha who aspires to be a computer engineer, has enrolled at Rosary Higher Secondary School, Navelim in the science stream.
Incidentally, 4 students were Allowed To Keep Terms, meaning they can secure admission for higher education while only one student Needs Improvement which can be done by answering the Supplementary exams scheduled on 18th June at Holy Spirit High School, Margao.
With 531 marks meaning 88.5%, Shreya Kotharkar ranked second. She is the daughter of Santosh who is working at Goa Carbon and Suvarna who is a home maker. Though hailing from Karnataka, they live at Mena-Covatem. Shreya has now enrolled at Damodar High4er Secondary School, Paroda in science stream.
Shreya Colaco who scored 83.33% having secured 500 marks was ranked third. Born ol Mark who is working in Qatar and Socorrina who is a home maker, she lives at Culsabhat though hailing from Davorlim. Shreya who aspires to be a doctor, has enrolled in Science stream at Loyola Higher Secondary School, Margao.
