Traffic Island Renovated

 Gamv Bhavancho Ekvott totally remoovated and refurbished the traffic circle in front of the Chandor Church.

 

GBE is regularly maintaining this island in memory of its founder member late Benedito more commonly known as Benny Fernandes who was also a very dedicated and committed member. He passed away soon after GBE had first renovated it in 2014 with him as the project manager when the island was given a total new look with glazewd tiles of the three Wise Men who visited infant Jesus during Epiphamy which feast is celebrated in the village with great pomp.

 

 GBE President Alzira Pereira, ex-general secretary Frrancis Coutinho, managing committee member Sandeep Kalekar and a committed member Menino alias Minush Gomes undertook the renovation along with 12 labouurers including masons.
Alzira along with her husband Benny Luis cured the repaired work every morning while in the evening managing committee member Maria Mascarenhas assisted them in the evening for 5 days.
