Women’s Day celebrated
International Women’s Day was celebrated in an unique manner on 8th March where the lady members along with kith and kin, meaning mothers, wives and daughters of other members, were felicitated at a very touching and memorable function.
The programme began with President John Fernandes welcoming the 42 honourable female guests gathered. He also thanked all at the end of the programme.
As against the normal trend of female members actively participating in preparing for any GBE programme, this time it was the male members who made all the arrangements.
Ladies were the honoured guests.
The programme was impeccably compered by Jaret da Silva who also organised three games for the participants.
Cybel Antao, daughter of member Vincy Antao, won the prize for unique ‘human housie’ game and she also spoke on relevance of Women’s Day.
Vincy Antao was moving all over to capture varied moments on his camera for posterity.
The never tiring duo of Menino alias Minush and Hanchik did all the running around required to organise this programme.

Jewela Fernandes, daughter of member Ivo Fernandes, baked and decorated the cake which not only looked mesmerising but was also delicious and the proud father sponsored it.
Lindarifa Fernandes, member Tiago da Silva’s wife Ella and member Nina Countinho’s daughter Amanda jointly cut the cake.
