 Cecilia Jane D’Silva, hailing from Chandor, was conferred the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree by the Università degli Studi di Cassino e Lazio Meridionale (University of Cassino and Southern Lazio), Italy; in Methods, Models and Technologies in Engineering in the discipline of Electromagnetic Fields. Following her Masters in Telecommunication Engineering through the same university, she was invited to carry out research under the frameworks of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of United Nations (UN), and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE). Chandor school gets 95.95%

 95.95% of the 74 students of St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor, cleared the Secondary School Certificate examinations conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. This year two of the top three students were male while last year all three toppers were female students and all lived in Cavorim, Chandor. Manuel (Manu) Fernandes hailing from Cavorim, completed 50 glorious years shepherding the Lord’s flock since the first Eucharist celebration he held on 15 th May 1975 at the Nossa Senhora de Belem Church in his home village. Chandor School Excels At board exams

St. Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor achieved 94.19% at the Secondary School Certificate Examinations 2024 conducted by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Of the 80 students who answered the examinations, 13 secured distinctions while 33 bagged first class. 31 students passed with second class and four got through with pass class.
